📣 The Pea Ridge Thespian Troupe 11113 competed in the Arkansas State Thespian Festival this past weekend. They took away 10 “Excellence” certificates and 5 superior medals! On top of that, Kara Presley took home a prestigious and competitive scholarship from the organization.
This is their second time attending and they tripled the amount of awards won from last year! Way to go Thespian Troupe!🤩🎬

Exciting Week in Mrs. Morgan’s Science Class!
Our students start each morning off with the weather forecast and learning to read it. This week they had an incredible opportunity to learn all about the weather from an expert! Big thanks to Stephen Elmore from 5NEWS for taking the time to speak to our students!
Students had an awesome time creating apple volcanoes to learn about physical and chemical reactions!
We cored out apples (physical reaction) and filled them with baking soda, then added vinegar to see an exciting chemical reaction in action! The bubbling eruption was a great way to demonstrate how acids and bases interact. Plus, the fizzing action showed us how gases can form in a reaction!

Lots of info/updates today because of potential weather! 👀☃️

Did you know that February is CTE Month?
Every February, the Career Technical Education (CTE) community celebrates CTE Month® to raise awareness of the role that CTE has in readying learners for college and career success. We are thankful for our CTE educators who work hard to ensure students are college and career-ready!
Are you familiar with our CTE pathways?
If you aren’t familiar with our district options for CTE courses, please visit our website https://www.pearidgek12.com/o/prhs and click on “Academics” to see a detailed overview of each of our programs of study.
Do you know what a CTSO is?
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), which are led by our CTE teachers and tie directly to their programs of study, provide students with a range of benefits including developing leadership skills, enhancing technical knowledge, building professional networks, exploring career paths, boosting self-esteem, and gaining real-world experience through competitions and community engagement, ultimately preparing them for further education and the workforce.
Support our CTSOs and help students attend State & National Competitions
Four of our programs have partnered together to raise money to support student competition fees for state and (potentially) national competitions. We cannot thank our community enough for the support you have provided! But if you haven’t seen this yet, and would like to donate, any amount donated is greatly appreciated! All money raised is helping fund our HOSA (medical) DECA (business) Skills USA (graphic design) and FCCLA (culinary) programs. We are almost to our goal of $25k! Woah! 🤩 #CTEMonth #PRSD
