This week, we honor the dedication and invaluable contributions of our school counselors. Sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), National School Counseling Week highlights the crucial role counselors play in guiding students toward academic success, personal growth, and future career readiness.
School counselors do so much more than guide students through academic challenges—they are essential to the well-being of our students, providing support that extends far beyond the classroom. From teaching vital life skills to offering individual guidance, our counselors help shape the future of Pea Ridge students every day.
Join us in celebrating our incredible school counselors:
Pea Ridge Primary School: Kelsey Brodie
Pea Ridge Intermediate School: Madi Holliday
Pea Ridge Middle School: Megan Harness
Pea Ridge Junior High School: Sarah Msall & Charley Robbins
Pea Ridge High School: Paige Edwards & Kati Race

Congrats to our Boys and Girls Bowling Teams for winning 1st place in Conference! They are headed to state! 🎳🏆🥇 #GOHAWKS

Did you know that February is CTE Month?
Every February, the Career Technical Education (CTE) community celebrates CTE Month® to raise awareness of the role that CTE has in readying learners for college and career success. We are thankful for our CTE educators who work hard to ensure students are college and career-ready!
Are you familiar with our CTE pathways?
If you aren’t familiar with our district options for CTE courses, please visit our website https://www.pearidgek12.com/o/prhs and click on “Academics” to see a detailed overview of each of our programs of study.
Do you know what a CTSO is?
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), which are led by our CTE teachers and tie directly to their programs of study, provide students with a range of benefits including developing leadership skills, enhancing technical knowledge, building professional networks, exploring career paths, boosting self-esteem, and gaining real-world experience through competitions and community engagement, ultimately preparing them for further education and the workforce.
Support our CTSOs and help students attend State & National Competitions
Four of our programs have partnered together to raise money to support student competition fees for state and (potentially) national competitions. We cannot thank our community enough for the support you have provided! But if you haven’t seen this yet, and would like to donate, any amount donated is greatly appreciated! All money raised is helping fund our HOSA (medical) DECA (business) Skills USA (graphic design) and FCCLA (culinary) programs. We are almost to our goal of $25k! Woah! 🤩 #CTEMonth #PRSD

Help us congratulate our nursing team on their award from ImmunizeAR!
At the start of our 24/25 school year about 17% of our students were missing or deficient in vaccines. The district nursing team assisted our families in providing resources, helping schedule appointments, arranging transportation, and assisting with exemption filings. By the end of the first semester less than 1% of our students were missing or deficient in immunizations.
The nursing team was awarded The 2024 Outstanding Childhood Immunization Award presented by ImmunizeAR, recognizing excellence in childhood vaccination efforts. ImmunizeAR is a non-profit organization committed to improving immunization rates through education, advocacy, and state-wide partnerships.

Please help us welcome our new Pea Ridge High School Head Volleyball Coach, Tanner Gilliaum!
“Hello! I'm Coach Gilliaum, and I grew up proud to be a Greenwood Bulldog. During high school, I was on the volleyball team, an active member of Beta, National Honor Society, Partner's Club, and Spanish Club. I graduated with honors and was in my class' Hall of Fame. I attended the University of Arkansas- Fort Smith where I was a lion for the first time while earning my Bachelor's in History with a 7-12 Teaching Licensure. During college, I participated in intramural sports, worked as a student worker for the UAFS Education Renewal Zone program, student-taught at Chaffin and Greenwood High School, and served as a secretary for Future Educators of America. Following graduation, I moved to NWA to coach volleyball at Gravette as the head junior high coach and senior high assistant for the Lady Lions.
After a year, Charleston called and I have been coaching for the district now for three years. I'm the head volleyball coach for the 7-12 program and I also teach Civics/Economics at the high school. I am a co-sponsor for the BETA Club, the sophomore class, and the debate team. I also serve as the Co-Director, Registrar, and Head 16-1 Coach for Club Velocity, a travel volleyball club that is based in Greenwood. I am currently 15 hours into my Master's of Educational Leadership and working on completing that degree. I have two black labs, Hank and Bodie, that love a good car ride or adventure when we have a day away from the gym.”
We’re so glad you’re here, Coach Gilliaum!
