The Pea Ridge School District is excited to announce the hiring of Sarah Raymond as the new principal of Pea Ridge Junior High. With years of experience in education and a passion for fostering student growth, Raymond is set to bring new energy and leadership to the school.

Raymond, who joins Pea Ridge Junior High after a successful career in educational leadership, is committed to creating a positive, inclusive environment where every student can succeed. Her vision for the school is centered on academic excellence, community involvement, and building strong relationships with both students and staff.

Before joining Pea Ridge Junior High, Raymond served as assistant principal at Rogers High School. Prior to that, she was an assistant principal at Bentonville West High School and also served as the principal of Gateway ALE in Bentonville. Raymond’s extensive leadership experience also includes her time as Dean of Students at Bentonville High School. Throughout her career, Raymond has gained valuable experience in leadership and student development, focusing on creating supportive, challenging, and safe learning environments.

Raymond’s career began as a teacher and high school volleyball coach, where she developed a passion for helping students succeed both in and outside the classroom. Her diverse experience in education has given her a well-rounded perspective on the needs of students at all levels.

“Pea Ridge Schools is excited to welcome Sarah Raymond to the Blackhawk family. With close to a decade of administrative experience, she will be a great fit to lead and serve as our new Junior High Principal. Her track record of success and dedication to student achievement will be key in continuing to move our school forward,” said Assistant Superintendent Anne Martfeld. 

Raymond’s appointment comes at an exciting time for Pea Ridge Junior High, as the school continues to make strides in both academics and extracurricular activities. The school community is eager to work with Raymond as she leads them into an exciting new chapter.

Raymond was approved by the board this evening, March 10th, and will officially begin her role on July 1st, 2025. She is excited to begin this new chapter at Pea Ridge Junior High.
