On Friday, October 4th, Unbridled Pediatric Therapies hosted its 3rd annual Fall Fest in partnership with the Pea Ridge School District’s Special Education Department. The Unbridled team puts on an incredible event, where students can experience all kinds of fall fun! Students have the opportunity to go on a hayride, get their face painted, bounce until their heart is content in numerous bounce houses, eat free snacks and drinks, play interactive games with staff and volunteers, and (of course) get the chance to pet some beautiful horses.
According to Pea Ridge Intermediate Special Education Teacher Emilee Clubbs, “When the students are told about the field trip to Unbridled, they get the most excited about seeing the therapy horses. Unbridled lets our students pet and feed their therapy horses. The therapy horses give our students an innovative therapeutic experience. After the trip, the students love to talk about which horse was their favorite. "Dan" is always a favorite for our students! The students also love to talk about the dance off that is held at the end of the event.”
Over 50 Pea Ridge students from kindergarten through 12th grade got to experience the event this year, as well as around 20 support staff and several parents. Our district is very thankful for the partnership with Unbridled and all of the work they do to make this a truly special experience for our students. We are looking forward to many years to come!
