What is The Nest?
The Nest is a school-based enterprise, meaning it is student-led and run alongside their teacher, Miss Weast. The Nest is a learning space where students can experience all the ins and outs of running a small business. The Nest sells Blackhawk apparel for all ages, as well as accessories. They also offer custom-designed T-shirts and apparel orders.
The Nest has been open since 2017 but only during certain times of the year. Since it is a school-based enterprise, The Nest operates primarily through its website, but there is also a storefront at the Junior High campus for in-store shopping before every Friday night home football game. We are also in the process of opening a second location at the high school!
Students in Miss Weast’s Small Business Operations class are required to work at least one shift during football season in the store. They also assist with running our Homecoming booth and help with other events of their choice, such as Colors Day, Senior Night, and Spirit Night.
The Nest is more than just a store – it’s a learning experience where students can grow and develop business and marketing skills. We hope to see you supporting our Blackhawks in person or through this link!
