The district recently celebrated 85 Pea Ridge High School students for being AP Qualifiers, meaning they passed one or more of their Advanced Placement (AP) exams by earning a score of 3 or higher, garnering them collectively more than 255 college credit hours. Many students passed their exams with the highest score possible, a perfect 5.
On Monday, July 15th, high school AP Teachers Malinda Stewart, and Jonathan and Tiffani Hash volunteered to deliver signs all over town, surprising parents and students alike. According to AP Teacher Malinda Stewart, who organized the event, the team was excited to recognize these high achieving students for their hard work and celebrate their success.
Pictured is Isaac Tarnasky who scored a 5 on his AP Statistics and AP Precalculus exams as well as earning credit on his AP European History exam. Per the AP College Board website, students with AP Scholar recognition received scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams. AP Scholar with Honor recognitions were granted to students who received an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. Congratulations to all of our Pea Ridge Blackhawk recipients! We are proud of you!
