We are proud to announce that Assistant Superintendent Anne Martfeld has been named Career and Technical Education Administrator of the Year by the Arkansas Association of Career and Technical Education Administrators (AACTEA) for her outstanding leadership in the field. Dr. Mike Hernandez, AAEA Executive Director, and Lisa Hotenspiller, President of AACTE, presented the award to Mrs. Martfeld at the May School Board meeting.
Mrs. Martfeld is a passionate advocate for career and technical education, and her leadership creates opportunities for our students every day. In the last year, Mrs. Martfeld completed the Leadership Benton County program, collaborating with and learning from other regional leaders to better serve our students and communities. She was also selected by the Arkansas Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to represent Northwest Arkansas in the LEARNS Career Readiness rule-making work group, which will shape Career and Technical Education for all Arkansas students. We are grateful for Mrs. Martfeld’s leadership and for her advocacy for our students. Congratulations, Mrs. Martfeld!
