English Language Development Curriculum

Off 2 Class and Rosetta Stone are the state-approved English Language Development tools used in grades K-12 in our district for pull-out services. These programs drive equitable English Learner outcomes.

In addition, all content teachers support language acquisition for speaking, reading, writing, and listening with these instructional strategy cards while using the Gradual Release of Responsibility model.

Off 2 Class y Rosetta Stone son las herramientas de desarrollo del idioma inglés aprobadas por el estado que se utilizan en K-12 en nuestro distrito para servicios de extracción. Estos programas impulsan resultados equitativos para los estudiantes de inglés.

Además, todos los maestros de contenido apoyan la adquisición del idioma para hablar, leer, escribir y escuchar con estas tarjetas de estrategia de instrucción mientras usan el modelo de Liberación Gradual de Responsabilidad.

ELPA21 Annual Assessment

The ELPA21 assessment is given each spring, usually in March, to assess proficiency in the English language. All students in the ESOL program are required by the State of Arkansas to take the exam, so good attendance during the testing season is important! The district will provide you with your children's proficiency reports in August and invite you to discuss their progress and language plan for the year.

La evaluación ELPA21 se realiza cada primavera, generalmente en marzo, para evaluar el dominio del idioma inglés. El Departamento de Educación de Arkansas requiere que todos los estudiantes en el programa ESOL tomen el examen, así que es importante una buena asistencia durante la temporada de exámenes. El distrito le proporcionará los informes de competencia de sus hijos en agosto y lo invitará a discutir su progreso y plan de lenguaje para el año.
