PSAT/NMSQT October 12
On October 12, Pea Ridge High School will administer the PSAT/NMSQT, an exam that is cosponsored by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation and serves as an entry point for high school juniors to over $300 million in scholarship dollars. All sophomores take the exam, but juniors have the option to register.ย Only juniors are eligible for the scholarships. ย
You can read more about the National Merit Scholarship Program here.ย The PSAT assesses the same knowledge and skills as the SAT, providing a check-in on college readiness before you take the SAT.ย Although Arkansas colleges and universities require the ACT, many out-of-state schools require students to take the SAT for admission.ย
Review the attached information and if interested, complete this form and submit your $17 exam fee to Mrs. Spivey in the front office before Friday, September 9. Juniors received this information via email from Mrs. Meeks (kelsey.meeks@pearidgek12.com).ย If you have questions, please see Mrs. Meeks at PRHS. *All sophomores will be registered for the assessment by the campus. They do not need to complete the form.
We want to hear from YOU!
As always, we value your input. If you have a minute, please consider providing feedback.
