4/22 Purple Up Day Celebration

On 4/22, we were proud to join the state in honoring our military families with a Purple Up Day Celebration! Special thanks to the military members who attended and connected with our students and staff—thank you so much for your time and your service!

Arisa Health 2022 Mental Health Champion Award

Congratulations to Casey Connior on being named an Arisa Health 2022 Mental Health Champion! This award is given to a select few educators in recognition of outstanding service. We completely agree that Ms. Connior consistently goes above and beyond in service of our students!

Casey Connior is an incredible educator with a huge heart for our students. She has served as the virtual school coordinator for the Pea Ridge School District for the past 3 years. She consistently advocates for our virtual students and seeks to help them feel included, especially during recent times when the traditional high school experience became anything but normal.

In partnership with Arvest Bank and their Million Meals Campaign, students competed in a coin drive to raise money to support The Blackhawk Pantry! Overall, we collected $287.01! Congratulations to the Kindergarten and 5th grade students for donating the most! If you haven’t had a chance to stop by The Blackhawk Pantry, come shop with us on Thursdays!

This study camp will take place from June 6 to June 10 from 9:00 to 12:00 at the high school and is open to grades 9-12!

If your student attends all 5 days, they will receive a voucher for reimbursement of the ACT test fee after taking the test.

Rising Kindergartener Physical

All rising Kindergarteners need a physical! If you haven’t checked this off your to-do list yet, call Community Clinic Pea Ridge to schedule with our nurse practitioner for $10! Our office is located in Pea Ridge High School and we see everybody. Call 479-488-3003 to make your appointment.

It’s almost time for the Lil’ Hawks summer basketball camp for incoming 1st-7th graders! The number one goal of the camp is for the kids to have fun! There will be tons of instruction and opportunities for each child to improve as a player. For more info and registration, click the red button!

Pea Ridge Youth Cheer Meetings

May 10th at Pea Ridge City Park, we will be hosting Pea Ridge Youth Cheer Meetings! These meetings are for all students going into 2nd – 6th grade who are interested in cheer for the 2022-20223 school year!

2nd/3rd grade will meet at 6 pm

4th grade will meet at 6:30 pm

5th/6th grade will meet at 7:00 pm

ACT Aspire Testing

We finished our first round of ACT Aspire testing! We will test again Tuesday, May 3rd, and Tuesday, May 10th. Please make sure your student has a good night’s rest, a good breakfast, and is at school on time.

Field Trip Permission Slip Update

7th and 8th grade students will be bringing home a new permission slip for their field trip that was rained out in March. They will now be going May 13. Please have permission slips returned by May 11.

Lady Hawk Basketball Tryouts

Lady Hawk Basketball Tryouts are coming up May 17th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm! All you need for tryouts is an updated physical–no sign-up required.
